Morris´brother, Nathan was married to Eda. (Not sure who Larry is, their son?). They lived in Los Angeles and sent this telegram.
Western Union was still being used in the mid 1900's, but not so much as to make regular communications, but rather to communicate in places far away OR, as here, to communicate a special occasion.
