For the rather expensive sum of $68.21, Hi paid for his tuxedo from Lee´s Men´s Shop on Shattuck Street. Topcoat (which is presumably the entire tuxedo) cost $42.75, with a scarf and various other necessities renting for the balance. Tax was 3.5%. Its unclear if this was a rental (even though the back of the bill says the company rents clothes), because cost relative to that day seems to be for the purchase of it. Note, it is dated February 14, 2 days after the wedding, at which time Hi was in San Francisco.
